The experience starts with an evening snowshoe walk through the mystic snow gums, to encapsulate a sense of remoteness and immerse oneself in the Australian alpine environment.
Leaving at sunset from the wire plain shelter at Hotham, the walk will weave its way to a hidden eco-village, where you will enjoy a delicious heart warming glass of Gluhwein outside by the fire.
You will then be invited into the Central tipi with a fireplace, where you will learn the secrets to making a traditional and mouth-watering French fondue, with cheese imported for the occasion from French Alpine farms.

Alpine Nature Experience
Alpine Nature Experience offers intimate and sustainable nature-based experiences in Victoria’s High Country.

Mount Hotham was a clear standout for his project due to the striking beauty of the mountain, hiking trails and overall atmosphere.
Alpine Nature Experience won Gold at the RACV VTIC Tourism Award for unique accommodation in 2019.
They are also a proud member of 1% For The Planet and pledge to give 1 per cent of all sales to environmental organisations.
