Weekend (Argentine) Tango Festival for advanced dancers, total beginners, and their mobs.

If you were looking for a good excuse to visit the Upper Murray and enjoy its stunning landscapes, then this is your chance. Set at the end of winter when the region typically offers clear skies with views to the snow-capped Snowy Mountains, the festival is the perfect gateway for tango lovers and people wanting to discover something new.

Catered for music lovers, existing dancers and true beginners, the Snowy Mountain Tango Festival offers a series of beginners’ workshops bundled up as a bootcamp, dancing sessions (aka ‘milongas’) for existing dancers, a fabulous concert from a renowned tango ensemble and curated experiences to immerse yourself in the local environment with an Argentinian twist.

Busy lives make it difficult to try new ventures. The team all wish you could try new activities, something different and enjoyable, and bring along a partner or a friend to share this experience. Don’t pass this opportunity.

The 2025 event was made possible by the Australian Government Regional Arts Fund, which supports the arts in regional and remote Australia.
