Dive into an unforgettable experience at the Solitary Islands Aquarium, your window to the vibrant marine world of the Coffs Coast. Located at Southern Cross University’s National Marine Science Centre, this family-friendly destination brings the ocean to life through stunning aquariums, interactive exhibits, and hands-on activities.

Marvel at colourful clownfish weaving through sea anemones, graceful angelfish gliding over coral reefs, and fascinating creatures like sea stars, sea cucumbers, and even Curly the Gloomy Octopus! Our touch tank allows you to get up close and personal with marine life, while our theatrette showcases spectacular footage of the Coffs Coast.

Perfect for all ages, the aquarium offers guided presentations by marine experts, fun games for kids, and educational displays on the unique biology and geology of the Coffs Coast. Learn about ocean conservation, climate change, and the cutting-edge research happening right here.

Open every Saturday and Sunday and every day during the NSW School Holidays (closed on Public Holidays) from 10 am to 4 pm, the Solitary Islands Aquarium is an affordable and enriching experience for families, tourists, and ocean enthusiasts alike.
