Dine on Tasmanian Wagyu beef from our North-West, Tasmanian Seafood from the rugged coastline and organically grown forgotten vegetables from the local growers.
Each week Lauren and Nathan, the couple behind Stelo, create a four-course tasting menu. These curated dishes inspired by local produce limited by season or quantity are matched by Tasmanian and Italian style wines chosen from Stelo’s bespoke and eclectic wine list. Signature dishes to look out for on the a la carte menu are handmade pasta, abalone, local wallaby and wagyu and our famous sourdough focaccia.
The Stelo restaurant in George Street spreads across two grand dining rooms, a bar and a private dining space. Appointed with locally crafted leather bench-seats, generous Tasmanian Oak and leather chairs, and crisp linen, the venue feels warm, luxe and intimate.
First established in 1956, Pierre’s Cafe and Brasserie welcomed Australia’s first commercial espresso machine. The restaurant has been part of Launceston’s rich and diverse history and continues to contribute to the city’s unique fabric.
