Wellington Park is known locally as “The Mountain”, and is loved for its fern glades, eucalyptus forests, dramatic rock columns and boulder fields, with superb walking tracks to spectacular lookouts. This Tasmanian-owned and operated company offers 5- to 10-day itineraries showcasing the island’s stunning regions. Guests travel in air-conditioned vehicles with luggage trailers, enjoying friendly, personalized hospitality, authenticity, and excellent value.
Tours focus on Tasmania’s wild landscapes and unique wildlife, emphasising quality interpretation. Two tour styles are available:
– Original Tours: Active trips with hostel and motel accommodations for up to 24 guests, appealing to travellers aged 20–49, though all ages are welcome.
– Comfort Tours: Active yet relaxed tours with motel stays, smaller groups (max 20), and some included meals. These tours are ideal for mature travellers aged 50+, but open to all.
Families, couples, small groups, and solo travellers are welcome on both styles. The minimum age for children is 8, with no upper age limit. Under Down Under strives to make tours accessible—contact their office to discuss specific needs.
