What makes this mural even more special? The artist behind it, Mike Larkin, isn’t just an observer—he’s part of the story. A proud local and a member of the Tatong Rural Fire Brigade himself, Mike has poured heart, soul, and firsthand experience into every brushstroke.
The mural features real-life members of the Tatong brigade, honoring their courage and commitment. Despite delays from the pandemic, wild weather, and scheduling challenges, the project came to life over four determined months—an artwork forged with the same resilience the CFA is known for.
