Barossa Tawny is a unique wine; a wine crafted from premium parcels of very ripe Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro grapes, which is fortified with spirit and then rested for 5, 10, or even 50 years or more in barrel. The end result is a wine of genuine character, as individual as the red wines that have made the Barossa region famous.
This Blending Experience reveals how our Barossa Tawny is made, from vineyard to bottle. Winemaker, Andrew Seppelt, will explain what he is looking for in the component wines of various ages and how they each contribute to the final blended wine. Samples will be tasted from select barrels, ranging from 1 to 50 years in age, giving visitors a most delicious insight into Barossa Tawny!
Andrew will then show you how to make your very own blend to take home and enjoy.
Available Thursday and Friday, all year round
