The Art Syndicate, an innovative wine bar and gallery, has opened in Surry Hills, Sydney. Located just off Taylor Square, this intimate venue seats 25 guests and offers a curated selection of quality wines, beers, and spirits from NSW.
Surrounded by captivating artwork and vintage posters, patrons are guided by knowledgeable staff through a carefully crafted beverage list that earned a finalist spot in the 2024 NSW Sommelier’s Wine List Awards.
Founded by Saxon Strauss and led by sommelier Lisa Guenther-Strauss, The Art Syndicate emphasizes sustainability and local support. The venue collaborates with over 450 wineries and 70 distilleries in NSW, focusing on minimizing its environmental footprint.
The space is designed to foster community, creativity, and conversation, offering a welcoming atmosphere for cultural and social gatherings. The Art Syndicate also continues its dedication to the arts, helping street artists transition to gallery spaces and maintaining a vast collection of rare vintage posters.
The venue operates Wednesday to Sunday and is available for private events, aiming to become a cultural hub where local drinks and art converge.
