Rod Spicer returns to Gulgong with A Settler’s Dream.
Gulgong has always held a special place in Rod’s heart. It is the hometown of his father and grandparents, and Spicers Creek carries his family name. This deep connection to the land and its stories continues to shape his work, drawing him back time and again.
In A Settler’s Dream, Rod explores themes of love, nostalgia, and longing, capturing a sense of place that feels both deeply personal and quietly universal. His works reflect a profound respect for the landscape — its history, its stillness, and the lives that have unfolded upon it.
They feel incredibly fortunate to be hosting this exhibition and to have had a glimpse of these new pieces as they come to life. Each work carries a sense of memory and belonging, inviting you to pause, reflect, and perhaps find a piece of your own story within them.
Rod’s exhibition will be on display until the end of July.
They can’t wait to share this beautiful exhibition with you.
