Four years on, Terras Mirus is both a celebration and a reflection.
Marking Wonderground’s fourth birthday and the anniversary of our first exhibition, for SALA 2026 we draw deeply from our environment that sustains us and the stories that have shaped us. From the first moment we opened our doors, Wonderground has been an exploration—of soil and site, of wine and time, of creativity and connection. What began as an idea has steadily taken form, exhibition by exhibition, season by season, vintage by vintage.
Terras Mirus—”marvellous earth”— (wonder – ground) speaks to that relationship. It is a tribute to the ground beneath us, the ideas that inspire us, the textures we uncover, and the quiet transformations that occur over time. Here, art exists as a reflection —gestures of process, patience, and place.
This exhibition is as much about looking forward as it is about looking back. It captures a moment in an ongoing journey—one shaped by collaboration, curiosity, and a deep respect for the land and relationships.
Above all, it is an invitation: to gather, to pause and to experience our artists and Wonderground as it continues to evolve.
