The Local Canteen was established in November 2022, just outside of Henley Square, where it’s a little more relaxed.

Their goal was to create a vibrant ‘corner store’ coffee shop located amongst the buzzing re-developed Henley Square, providing specialty coffee and (mostly) on-the-go brunch ‘made by locals, for locals’. The owners are Henley Beach locals themselves, and thet just love living there.

Their menu is designed to be Dine-in and Take-away and is focused on specialty coffee and things that go with coffee – like sandwiches, bagels, Acai smoothie bowls, brunch bites, pastries, organic juices and much much more. Think freshly made, quick and quality offerings that are designed to fit with the coastal culture and atmosphere that Henley Beach brings.

The bustling Henley Square and the jetty at Henley Beach are a short stroll from The Local Canteen, with plenty of car parking surrounding them. Enjoy your coffee and a meal with them or grab it to take away with you and enjoy one of Adelaide’s premier beaches.

They are pet friendly, so bring the family pooch with you!

Sorry, they don’t take reservations. They are walk-in only.
