Surrounded by wineries, with views of the Brindabella Ranges, Blackwattle Alpaca Farm, offers a unique alpaca farm experience. Their alpaca tours allow you to experience heart-warming moments with their cute and quirky alpacas and llamas! Their adorable little faces will have you smiling and laughing the whole time.
This is a private farm, giving you a wonderful opportunity to get up close and personal with their alpacas and llamas. Their tour guides will introduce you to some of their happy herd. During your visit, learn about their quirky personalities, which you will find delightful. Blackwattle Alpaca Farm is open all year round and provides guests with an immersive alpaca and llama experience!
Entry to the farm is free but to cuddle, hand feed and take photos with their alpacas and llamas be sure to book a tour. The farm also offers picnics, catered from their onsite cafe.

Alpaca Hand Feeding Tour
Dream of being in a paddock surrounded by alpacas? Then this tour is for you! As you step into the paddock, you’ll find yourself encircled by their herd of happy alpacas and llamas, all eagerly anticipating the delicious treats you’ve brought to fill their bellies!
These friendly creatures are more than happy to enjoy the treats straight from your bucket. However, if you’re eager to forge a closer connection, there’s no llama-drama involved in hand-feeding your newfound fluffy companions!
The knowledgeable guides will introduce you to the individual members of the herd, offering insights into their unique personalities and endearing behaviours.
Alpaca Adventure
Visit the farm and walk your very own alpaca or llama for an experience you will never forget!
Come and walk one of the alpacas or llamas across their farm, around the dam and back again, with lots of stops along the way for photos! Followed by a hand-feeding session where you will get to feed the happy herd from a bucket filled with yummy alpaca and llama treats!
During the guided tour will enjoy an exciting and educational talk on the history of alpacas and llamas, learn about their quirky personalities and gain an insight into what is involved to get the fibre from the paddock to a finished product.
You will finish off the tour with a complimentary morning tea (tea/coffee/soft drink and cake/slice of the day) to enjoy while you watch the herds grazing in their paddocks.
Boho Alpaca Picnic
Your experience begins with a 30-minute scenic walk around the farm and down to the dam with your very own alpaca or llama companion, followed by a 30-minute hand-feeding session with their friendly herd. You’ll have plenty of time to pat, cuddle and feed your new fluffy friends while capturing truly heart-warming photos.
After your tour, make your way to their beautifully styled boho picnic area, in a private area on their farm – complete with comfy chairs, pillows, blankets and flowers. Settle in and relax as you enjoy a delicious grazing platter filled with sweet and savoury delights. It’s the perfect way to unwind and soak up their peaceful farm atmosphere!
Brunch With The Bunch
Your family and friends will enjoy a scrumptious brunch while watching their hungry alpaca herd munch away on their morning feed. Nature provides a stunning backdrop for this tour, with picturesque views of the Brindabella Ranges.
Begin your visit by meeting one of their friendly llamas, perfect for pats, cuddles, and heart-warming photos. After getting to know your llama companion, head into the paddock for a hands-on feeding session with their happy alpaca herd. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to offer them tasty treats, enjoy their playful personalities and capture memorable photos – don’t forget your camera! Once the tour is complete, return to the farm shop to relax and enjoy a home-style brunch while watching the alpaca herd happily munch on their morning feed. Alpaca Connection Tour
The Alpaca Connection Tour is the ideal starting point for large groups (including disability groups) and bus tour companies, offering a flexible foundation to create a memorable experience tailored to your needs. In addition to group visits, they also welcome special occasions such as birthdays, family gatherings, social club outings and other celebrations, with the flexibility to design an event that suits your group perfectly.
The Alpaca Connection Tour (45 minutes) includes:
15-minute educational talk about alpacas and llamas.
15-minute meet and greet with one of their llamas where they bring out a llama (on a lead), and each guest gets pet him and take some heartwarming photos with him.
15-minute hand-feeding session where guests go into the paddock and feed the happy herd from a bucket – for this part of the tour, you will be surrounded by alpacas and llamas happily munching from your bucket filled with yummy alpaca and llama treats.
