Regarded as the premier entertainment facility in the region, the Queanbeyan Performing Arts Centre—better known as The Q—offers an outstanding program of professional and amateur productions, art exhibitions, and performances.

The Centre proudly features two performance spaces. The Q, a traditional proscenium arch theatre with seating for 343, has a light filled foyer, as well as a gallery space for exhibitions and smaller events. The B is flexible space that can be used for performances with a retractable raked seating bank seating 576, or in a flat floor setting for conferences and events. For smaller gatherings and cabaret performances, it has the more intimate and relaxed B Bar.

The prestigious facilities of The Q provide a range of unique spaces for performing and visual arts, social occasions, and corporate events. Our experienced staff are on hand to assist with all your requirements. Whether it’s a touring or local production, an art exhibition, a large-scale gala opening night, a conference, or a corporate evening of entertainment, you’ll find the ideal venue—and exceptional service—at The Q – Queanbeyan Performing Arts Centre.

  • Visual alerts for emergencies (Include flashing light) are available.

Physical – Mobility

  • Caters for people with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps but who would benefit from fixtures to aid balance. (This includes people using walking frames and mobility aids)

  • Uses floors/coverings which are slip resistant, firm and smooth
  • Grab rails in the bathroom
  • Seating in common areas including reception area

Physical – Wheelchair

  • Caters for people who use a wheelchair.

  • Step free outdoor pathways (includes picnic areas, barbecues and shelters)
  • A doorbell or intercom at an accessible height and display a contact number (accessible height is 900mm-1100 mm)
  • A step free main entrance to the building and/or reception area (includes ramps or slopes with a maximum gradient of 1:14, otherwise are too steep for wheelchairs)
  • Step free access to restaurant, lounge and bar
  • Step free access to the conference or function room
  • Accessible seating areas in theatrette
  • An accessible public toilet which is unlocked.
  • A wheelchair accessible toilet / shower and change room is available.
  • A wheelchair/scooter charging station (power point) in an accessible location is available.
