Trigg Island beach is home to one of Perth’s best surf breaks. On a warm summer’s day, Trigg Island beach swarms with surfers and boogie boarders making the most of the reef break just offshore. Inshore, swimmers enjoy the turquoise water and pure white sand.

Spend some time relaxing at Trigg and you might spot bottlenose dolphins out to sea.

As well as swimming and surfing, Trigg Island also offers great beach fishing and bird watching. The beach’s rocky limestone outcrop is home to pied cormorants, silver gulls, as well as crested and fairy terns.

Trigg Island beach features grassed areas with barbecues, a kiosk, restaurant and public change rooms. Surf Life Savers are regularly on patrol making sure surfers and swimmers are safe.

The beach also hosts surf life saving carnivals and training during summer.

Trigg Island beach is about a 20 minute drive north west of Perth along the Sunset Coast.
