Umina Beach is located in the southern coastline of the Central Coast, on the peninsula. Umina Beach has excellent surfing conditions, choppy in strong southerlies. The Umina Beach Surf Life Saving Club has been on site since 1959, and will host the 2014 NSW State Championship. The beach is patrolled every weekend and public holiday through the season to keep swimmers out of trouble. Patrol members are all volunteers.
