Royal Mail Hotel is designed to capture the stunning beauty of the Southern Grampians. The property features sweeping views, multi-award-winning dining and cellar, bars, quality accommodation, luxury corporate retreat and wedding facilities for the ultimate destination wedding or milestone celebration.
The hotel features two restaurants, the two-hatted Wickens at Royal Mail Hotel and Parker St Project – the casual diner. The welcoming bar area serves snacks and light meals to enjoy by the fireplace or in the shady courtyard. We have indoor and outdoor dining spaces in Parker Street Project and a private dining room.
Hotel accommodation ranges from Deluxe Mountain View rooms to Courtyard rooms.
The Mount Sturgeon Station, located just five minutes from the hotel site offers accommodation in eight fully restored 1840’s bluestone cottages, or the Mount Sturgeon Homestead, a six-bedroom colonial homestead with rolling lawns and stunning mountain views. One Bedroom Apartment
This double story apartment features a loft bedroom with balcony, ensuite with bath. Garden and mountain views from the balcony.

Two Bedroom Apartment
Located within the Australian gardens surrounding the hotel, the two bedroom apartments offer balcony views of the gardens and Mount Sturgeon and Mount Abrupt from upstairs bedrooms.
The apartments feature a small living area downstairs with television, telephone, dining table, and a kitchenette with tea and coffee facilities. Complimentary Wi-Fi included.
There is one queen bedded room and one twin single room.
Deluxe Mount Sturgeon One Bedroom Cottage
Each standalone Deluxe Mount Sturgeon One Bedroom Cottage has been completely refurbished as of July 2022 to modern standards whilst maintaining the charm of the 1850s designed and built bluestone worker’s cottages. Each private cottage has stunning views of Mount Sturgeon (Wurgarri) and the surrounding grounds.
Mount Sturgeon Cottages
One and two-bedroom cottages located on the Mount Sturgeon property at the base of the Grampians National Park.
Each cottage features a king-size bed, and twin beds in the two-bedroom cottages, and unique water tank bathrooms. Facilities include WiFi, microwave, toaster and electric frypan, open lounge and dining area with wood fire and leather sofas, outdoor seating area and breakfast provisions.
Located on a working sheep farm, five kilometres from the hotel with scenic mountain views.
Courtyard Room
This is an entry level, original style room, set within the hotel courtyard with limited views of southern Grampians from your private balcony.
Mountain View Room
Mountain View Rooms are set within landscaped Australian gardens, offering uninterrupted panoramic views of the Grampians Ranges.

The Mount Sturgeon Homestead features six bedrooms, formal dining and lounge areas and modern kitchen. Manicured lawns dotted with spectacular red gums, lead down to the Wannon River. A vegetable garden and orchard are waiting to be harvested from during gusts stays.
