Join this fascinating 3-day outback tour on the post WW2 story of three amazing towns.

Woomera, with retro buildings, open air rocket and aircraft museum and its local history museum. Visit the memorial grave of Outback legend Len Beadell who selected this long range weapons testing site.

Andamooka, a distinctive opal town with historic dugouts built by the early miners. It too has a museum, opal centre and a weird bottle house!

Roxby Downs is a modern planned oasis with green lawns in the SA desert. From Roxby we have an Arid Lands Recovery sunset walk and nocturnal animal discovery tour (included in price).

Extensive history notes will be provided and the tour includes two nights’ accommodation at Roxby Motor Inn with continental breakfast boxes.

We will depart from the WEA Centre at 8:00am on Saturday and return at approximately 5:30pm on Monday.

Single supplement $924 and twin share $824. For twin share bookings please contact the WEA to arrange your booking and nominate who you will be sharing with.

The fully accessible WEA building is conveniently located on Angas Street in the Adelaide CBD and offers on-site parking and easy access to a variety of public transport options.

The WEA also operates a licenced travel agency offering a range of fully escorted small group tours locally, interstate and overseas with itineraries carefully curated to provide an immersive cultural and educational experience.

WEA Travel Tour Leaders are experienced travellers with extensive local knowledge.
