The spectacular Weereewa Lookout offers uninterrupted views across the enigmatic Lake George and to the wind farms beyond where nature and industry meet in a surprisingly complementary juxtaposition.

Located on the western border of Queanbeyan-Palerang and a thirty-minute drive north of the Canberra CBD, this lookout offers magnificent views across one of the Southern Tablelands’ natural wonders.

Lake George lays within a striking landscape, covering over 200 square kilometres and with water levels that raise and recede over the years as droughts ebb and flow.

When the water recedes, a fertile plain is revealed and livestock populations swell on the resident farms.
