Youth Shack Backpackers is a 340-bed hostel in the heart of the city with a newly renovated pool, new cooking equipment, new carpet in hallways, all rooms painted and new flooring. There are two en-suite rooms, five doubles, five twins with a TV and fridge and five twins and five doubles with a fridge only.
The hostel also has its own bar with great daily specials, a large dining area, a self-catering kitchen with new appliances and a sundeck overlooking the pool area.
The dorm rooms are four-bed dorms and two six-bed dorms. All of the rooms have power points with USB ports and individual lockers.
A tour desk is available to help with travel arrangements. There is a television room for guests and a study room for international students with three computers, a printer and a large table for studying, a bookshelf and a comfortable couch to relax.
