Highlights

Walker Creek

A delightful, shady little spot where we dine on freshly flame-grilled barramundi and other Australian foods. Augmented by the sound of a crystal clear spring-fed creek with many safe and spiritually cleansing swimming spots. This little spot is next to a road originally built by Tess’s grandfather to transport logs he’d milled into Darwin, long before the area became a national park. Very few tourists know this part of Litchfield National Park and we see few others there.

Litchfield National Park
Wangi Falls

Wangi Falls, properly named Ngundjurr, is a spectacular waterfall and plunge pool that flows all year round from springs emanating from half the area of the Tabletop Plateau. Although now a popular place for swimming and picnicking for families, Ngundjurr was traditionally a sacred women’s place; a place visited only by women and girls.
