Koonawarra is located within Dennarque Estate. It has three bedrooms, one King size bed and two Queen size beds. Two bedrooms have ensuites with heated floors. Koonawara has a large, modern, fully equipped kitchen. It has a sunroom with views into the gardens, and a comfortable lounge. Koonawarra guests have access to the heritage listed cool climate, 24 acre gardens. It has a smart TV with Starlink internet. There is a Tennis Court on site also.
The gardens have a spectacular collection of significant trees originally planted under the direction of Charles Moore, from the Royal Sydney Botanical Gardens during 1880s. Dennarque has an important historical significance. It is one of the original eight houses built in Mt Wilson. It was established in 1879 by Edward Christopher Merewether. Dennarque is a fine and substantially intact example of a Victorian Georgian residence.
Koonawarra is an ideal base for exploring the Blue Mountains.
