1000 acres of bushland, private campsite only 3km from the Snowy Mountains Highway.
Good mobile coverage.
Lots of wildlife.
Campfires permitted.
Potable water available.
No toilet or amenities.
4WD is best but not absolutely necessary, a small low clearance car won’t be suitable.
Pets allowed but be aware it is a running cattle farm and it’s expected that you know your pets whereabouts at all times. At 1200 metres elevation it is often colder than the surrounding areas and sometimes very foggy. A second site is available near our house at the “hayshed”.
Let’s say you’re travelling between Bega and Cooma or Bombala, it’s getting late and you need a spot to spend the night which is safe and you can plug into power. Next morning buy some fresh eggs, have breakfast, check your vehicle over, top up a bit of water and back to the main highway in a few minutes.
