The 11th annual Street Machine Drag Challenge is Australia’s toughest street car competition, returning for its biggest year.
This five-day motorsport adventure features more than 250 modified, street-registered cars that must race at a different drag strip each day and then drive hundreds of kilometres to the next track without trailers or support vehicles. It is the ultimate test of performance, reliability and endurance.
In 2026, the route spans South Australia and Victoria. The challenge begins on Tuesday at Victorian Motorsport Park, before heading to South Coast Raceway in Portland on Wednesday. On Thursday, competitors take on Dragway at The Bend, then head to Mildura for Day Four at the Atlantic Oils Sunset Strip on Friday. The grand finale takes place back at Victorian Motorsport Park on Saturday 31 October.
Each stop promises a full day of racing action, while VIP Park-Up events at local venues give fans the chance to see cars up close, meet fellow enthusiasts and enjoy the atmosphere.
Whether you are a car fan or simply looking for an unforgettable day out, the Street Machine Drag Challenge delivers entertainment and genuine Australian car culture.
