Where ideas meet the river: Devonport’s premier event destination.

Set on the banks of the Mersey River in Northwest Tasmania, the Paranaple Convention Centre is more than a venue, it’s a place where stories unfold and ideas take flight. Purpose-built as part of the Devonport City Council’s Living City initiative, this award-winning centre features state-of-the-art facilities, panoramic waterfront views, and a warm, professional team dedicated to delivering exceptional events.

With capacity for up to 800 guests and a design inspired by the region’s natural beauty and cultural heritage, the name “paranaple” comes from the dialect of the punniler panner people, meaning “gathering place”.

Whether hosting national conferences, community celebrations, or strategic workshops, the centre connects people to place, transforming every event into a memorable experience.
