Joseph Bologne’s Violin Concerto No.9 is a joyful window into the bright and energising performance styles of 18th-century France. Dvořák’s Nocturne offers a moment of tenderness and quiet melancholy before Bartók’s Divertimento dances between rustic spirit and shadowy reflection.
