Melbourne’s much-loved winter dining experience is returning to Federation Square, bringing a glowing French Alpine village back to the heart of the city.
For seven weeks, private wooden chalets will transform Fed Square into a cosy mountain escape, complete with fire pits, mulled wine and the unmistakable aroma of melted Alpine cheese.
This year introduces a new twist. For the first time, guests choose their French cheese ritual: fondue or raclette.
In the French Alps, these dishes are more than meals. They are shared moments, where friends and family gather around the table to enjoy simple, comforting food together.
Inside each chalet, the experience unfolds with a welcome mulled wine, a generous charcuterie board and your chosen centrepiece.
Fondue brings a bubbling pot of melted cheese to the middle of the table, perfect for dipping bread and charcuterie.
Raclette sees melted cheese scraped over potatoes, pickles and cured meats.
A curated selection of French Alpine wines is available in each chalet, while outdoor fire pits invite guests to continue the evening under the winter sky.
Run by a proudly French team, the experience brings authentic Alpine traditions, flavours and atmosphere to Melbourne.
