Nelly Bay Habitat Reserve

Nature’s little oasis right here in our backyard. Set up in 1996, this gem is all about preserving our native wildlife and plants, especially the Native Pigeon and Stone Curlew. Its designed to maintain a vegetation corridor through the Habitat areas to retain the connection between the upland and lowlands.

Check out the interpretative displays, stroll along wheelchair-friendly trails, and soak in the beauty of the Melaleuca forest. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re into wildlife or just looking for a peaceful spot to chill

Picnic Bay History and Craft Centre

The heritage-listed Picnic Bay Schoolhouse, on the grounds, is used as a Craft Centre, selling quality local craft and historical publications. The Museum itself is housed in the historic Butler Hut, named after the original pioneering family of the island. The Centre is open daily from 10am-2pm, except Tuesdays. (Closed between Australia Day & Easter). Free admission.

Picnic Bay Jetty

Picnic Bay Jetty is a picturesque landmark nestled in the heart of Picnic Bay. Offering stunning views of the Coral Sea and Magnetic Island’s coastline, it’s a perfect spot for relaxation and leisure. Goeffrey Bay

Geoffrey Bay, a hidden gem on Magnetic Island, captivates visitors with its pristine beaches and vibrant marine life.

As a designated Marine National Park Zone, it’s a sanctuary for snorkelers and divers alike, boasting colorful coral gardens and an abundance of tropical fish. The bay’s unique feature, the ‘Moltke’ shipwreck, adds a touch of history and intrigue to its allure. Horseshoe Bay Beach Front

Horseshoe Bay, nestled on the shores of Magnetic Island, is a picturesque haven offering a blend of natural beauty and vibrant dining experiences. Its a perfect space for the tour to stop for its lunch break

Forts Junction Interpretive Area

Stop at the Fors Junction to learn a little bit about the islands World War 2 history, and take a short walk to the first lookout for scenic views over Arthur Bay.

Their modern, air-conditioned minibuses transport groups of up to 16 people, ensuring a safe and comfortable journey.

With its idyllic location amidst Australia’s breathtaking landscapes, Magnetic Island has captivated travellers for centuries. Their knowledgeable local guides will take you on a journey through time and nature, revealing the island’s fascinating past and abundant wildlife. The tour includes a relaxing hour at Horseshoe Bay for a self-catered lunch, giving you plenty of time to savor the island’s delights at your own pace. After the tour, you can choose to stay and explore or head back to the Ferry Terminal, knowing that you’ve experienced the irresistible allure of Magnetic Island firsthand.

Tours depart from right outside the Island ferry terminal six days a week. Two tours a day are offered from July to September. Custom tours can be arranged on request.
