Established in 1982, Richard and Jill McIntyre’s Moorooduc Estate is a small, family-run wine business with an enviable reputation for complex and food friendly wines.
Moorooduc Estate offers some of the finest Mornington Peninsula wine and hand-crafted produce available for tasting and purchase at cellar door.
Their philosophy is to use top quality ingredients. Intensive, hands-on care in the vineyard, with minimal use of chemicals, produces the best possible fruit for their wines. Wild yeast ferments, minimal intervention winemaking, with a nod to traditional Burgundian techniques, allow their wines to express site specificity, or terroir.
Similarly, they aim to source seasonal, local and organic ingredients for goods at cellar door and Jill’s special luncheons, promoted through their mailing list.
Moorooduc Estate wines, often praised in the press, hold five star status in James Halliday’s Australian Wine Companion.
