Buxton Recreation Reserve is located on the corner of Mareeba Avenue and Maroondah Highway, right at the entrance of the Buxton township.
The reserve has a range of activities for the little ones, including Bikemania, an area for young BMX riders which includes a range of fun and exciting obstacles, as well as a shaded playground equipped with swings, mini rock climbing wall, slide and more.
There is also a fantastic exercise station for those looking to fit in a quick workout, as well as a large sheltered area to relax, with a barbecue’s, picnic tables and large grassed space with seating that overlooks the river.
