The Cottage at Omaroo High Country Retreat is pet-friendly and situated on five acres enjoying spectacular views of the Strathbogie Ranges and the High Country farming region of Bonnie Doon.
Just minutes from Lake Eildon, the Great Victorian Rail Trail and within easy reach of Mount Buller. Head into Mansfield only 15 minutes away to enjoy the best of local produce at the many great restaurants and cafes, or simply relax to the sounds of the native birds and frogs serenading. Omaroo Retreat certainly lives up to its indigenous name meaning beautiful view.
The quintessentially Australian corrugated-iron cottage is luxuriously appointed and features two spacious bedrooms, a large family lounge/dining area also contains a day bed that converts into twin King Single beds – so there’s ample space to sleep six in total. The full-sized kitchen is generously stocked with everything you will need – and there’s a barbecue so you can also dine outside on the large verandah.
Add the convenience of free Wi-Fi, ample car parking, acres of farmland to explore, hills to climb and even space to park the boat, Omaroo High Country Retreat is the perfect location for your next high country adventure all year round.

The Cottage
Originally built as a traditional corrugated-iron farm shed, the Cottage has recently been converted into a stunning 2-bedroom guesthouse.
Located adjacent to the main farm house, the Cottage features a spacious living/dining area, fully self-contained kitchen, two queen bedrooms and a well-appointed bathroom. A King-Single daybed (with extra roll-away King-Single tucked underneath) provides additional sleeping for two guests in the main living room. All beds are supplied with luxurious linens and towels, a choice of pillows and a range of upmarket bathroom amenities.
With a huge outdoor covered veranda, The Cottage provides both indoor and outdoor entertaining options. Make use of the fully appointed kitchen (complete with oven, gas cooktop, microwave and dishwasher) or fire up the BBQ, then sit back and enjoy your meal while taking in the picturesque views from the veranda.
Use of the in-ground pool and laundry, located at the Farm House (adjacent to the Cottage), can be arranged on request.
