This flat campground is near Benalla in the Strathbogie Ranges, a three hour drive north east of Melbourne. It is located along the picturesque Moonee Moonee Creek, which flows all year round. There is plenty of space for tents and caravans and the grounds are pet friendly.
The campground is unpowered. Basic amenities such as fire pits, picnic tables, drop toilet and horse yards are available to use. It is a popular base for enjoying a range of recreational activities in the Strathbogie State Forest, including four-wheel driving, hiking, trail bike riding and horse riding. Water from the creek must be boiled prior to drinking.
The unsealed road is accessible by a two wheel drive. Road conditions may be unsuitable after periods of heavy rain.
