Alexandria is a gracious Federation style home built in 1905 on the banks of the Inglis River, 1.5 km from the town centre of Wynyard and Burnie Airport, offering services of Bed and Breakfast accommodation and a function venue.

You will stay in beautiful homely accommodation with rooms overlooking the gardens, all with ensuite bathrooms, catering for business, holiday and family needs.

Our dining room and gardens are available to book for intimate function events including wedding ceremonies, high teas, lunches, business meetings and photo sessions.

We look forward to sharing the historic and tranquil surroundings and the great personal service we have to offer. Wynyard is a twenty-minute drive (20 km) north-west of Burnie.

The Lily Room, named after the stunning liliums in the garden in summer, is in the garden cottage. It is spacious with a queen and single bed for an extra guest or child and is well equipped for either short or longer stays, with microwave, bar fridge and full crockery supplied.

The Iris Room, named after the magnificent spring iris bulbs in the garden, is located in the garden cottage. It is spacious with a queen bed and is well equipped for either short or longer stays, with microwave, bar fridge and full crockery supplied.

Tulip Room

Tulip Room

The Tulip Room, named after the beautiful flowers that are on show in our area and garden during Spring, is the largest room available. With its own private access and outside deck positioned under the shade of the magnificent English Oak, guests can enjoy their own space and garden. After a complete renovation it has been styled to reflect the federation era of the main house, with a modern twist. The Tulip Room offers every convenience needed for short or long stays, including a bar fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and extra crockery.
