Join Walk Local on this one day walk starting in Tanunda where we join the Tanunda Heritage Walk through Tanunda. Historic photos and tales of the early days of the Barossa offer a rare insight into a unique part of Australia. There are six markers in total and there are lots of opportunities to visit cafés, galleries and other shops along the journey.
We leave Tanunda following gently undulating back roads and tracks with views of the Barossa, passing vineyards, a visit to Whistler wines, historical nineteenth-century buildings and natural bushland to the little town of Greenock.
We enjoy a traditional pub lunch at the recently revamped Greenock Creek Hotel, or known by locals as ‘The Greenock’ is the centre point of the town for locals and tourists alike.
With two wineries to visit this afternoon in Greenock. Kalleske’s and Murray Street Wines all a short walk from the pub.
Guests are transported back to Tanunda at the end of the day.
