The ambiance and aroma of the hive and honey facility cannot be found anywhere else.
When you first arrive at the farm you will be ushered into the honey packing room where you will sit down and learn about the beehive, the bees in the hive and their life cycle.
Hear about the amazing products the bees produce, how and why, and once everything is discussed, Shawn, the business owner and beekeeper will help dress you up in a bee suit and take you out to one of his live productive hives.
Once the hive is open you will look at the life of the bee, everything from a day-old egg through to a bee hatching, observe their honey and pollen collection, endeavor to find the Queen, discover the unique products that bees create and collect and interact with the bees helping all to realise how important and also just how amazing they really are. Continue into the Extraction facility and see how the honey would be extracted, packed and stored.
The variety of honey flavours will then be available for tasting and then the wonderful products will be available to purchase.

Kangaroo Island Living Honey
Kangaroo Island Living Honey is a passionate family run business. They currently manage approximately 350 productive hives, and on a good year can extract up to 30 Ton of Raw and Organic honey.
Some of these hives will be on the farm, the rest of them will be on certified sites across the island. On the farm, they have a Farm Gate Shop with a multitude of produce and other local products. They also run Beekeeping Tours and Beekeeping Experiences. Education is their passion and everything they do is with the aim to produce products of the highest quality and as natural as possible.
Owners Shawn and Anthea love their bees and the products that they create and look forward to sharing the bee’s amazing story with everyone who visits. The business is part of their home surroundings, so you will find a very relaxed and casual atmosphere when you visit. There are farm animals, native animals and pets to play with and will welcome all that visit.
