Bees and Honey Apiary Tour for Kids (5-15yrs)
An engaging, hands-on experience for children, designed to build curiosity and understanding of bees, pollination and nature.
An Adventure with Honey Tastings Amongst the Australian Bush.
Discover the fascinating world of beekeeping with Bay and Bush’s private Bees and Honey Apiary Tour. Nestled just a five-minute drive from Huskisson, this 90minute immersive experience invites your child to step into the life of bees and taste the golden flavours they create.
Kids will experience real beekeeping by :
Putting on a suit and gloves and visit a live bee hive on site at Bay and Bush.
They will hold bee frames , watch bees hard at work, and try to spot the Queen.
They will learn the basics of the lifecycle of a honey bee, the jobs they share, the importance of pollination, and why we can’t survive without bees and other insects
The young biologists will come home buzzing with their bee facts, including how bees make honey and armed with a Bee Workbook that they can complete at home in their garden.
And of course taste some raw honey, straight from our hives.
