This is a Blacksmith experience like no other as you will get straight into shaping hot metal and creating rather than just learning one boring technique.
This is perfect for someone who simply wants to have a go, right up to experienced knife-makers that might want to try this different style, or even have not used a power hammer before.
You will get the chance to hand forge a variety of products and experience the joy of shaping hot metal on a traditional Blacksmith’s anvil and under a power hammer. You get to take home various products that you made from scratch, and they will be talking pieces for years to come.
Be prepared to get your hands dirty, with this very ‘hands on’ experience, forging metal objects from upcycled materials. Tom will be there assisting you, one-on-one, helping you understand the art of raw blacksmithing.
No experience needed however it will definitely be helpful if you are comfortable using power tools. He will instruct you carefully and demonstrate the safe use of the tools and machinery, some of which you probably wouldn’t have encountered before.
