Blackwattle Alpaca Farm is a working alpaca farm located in the lovely rural township of Murrumbateman. We are a working alpaca farm with a herd of around 60 alpacas, many of them breeding females. Behind the scenes, we focus on breeding for quality fleece used in fibre processing—something visitors love learning about while meeting the herd.

Their farm is located only 25 minutes from Canberra, making it an ideal location for a day trip with family and friends! Their farm offers picturesque views and is in a unique location to learn about alpacas, their luxury fibre and the beautiful products they produce.

They have a welcoming farm shop, filled with a range of alpaca yarn and a wide selection of alpaca and llama-inspired gifts, and a cafe serving tea, coffee, cold drinks and sweet treats. They also offer picnics on their farm, catered from their cafe.

To meet their alpacas and llamas, or to book a picnic, guests need to book a tour.

Visit their alpaca farm and learn about alpacas and farm life. They hope to see you soon at Blackwattle Alpaca Farm!
