The heart of Borradale is its lovingly restored homestead, originally constructed in the early 1920’s and expanded upon a historic two-room cottage from the 1800’s. A meticulous restoration project over 4 years has culminated in a beautifully appointed residence featuring four bedrooms, for 8 guests, two and a half bathrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen ideal for savouring local Tasmanian delicacies.
Borradale Stanley isn’t just accommodation- it’s an invitation to experience life on a working farm that raises Cape Grim beef and manages sheep through sustainable farming practices to nurture the land.

Be a farming midwife this winter
Off Season for some, On Season at Borradale. Join “the farmer” during lambing and calving season from May through August. Don your farm kit (gumboots and wet weather outer layers supplied) and be on lambing lookout for newborn lambs in May and June, or catch a calf entering the world during July and August. You may even be lucky enough to sneak a newborn cuddle. Once the winter work is done, soak in the hot tub then sit by the fire with a Tassie wine or whiskey from the larder.
