SpringOUT is Canberra’s only pride festival. Held in November each year, a month-long festival that celebrates Australia’s most LGBTQIA+ friendly city and Canberra’s LGBTQIA+ community in all its fabulous diversity.

It’s time to SpringOUT with ‘PRIDE in the Capital’ in 2026!

Throughout November, Canberra’s annual SpringOUT festival showcases a diverse array of events that celebrate Canberra’s LGBTQIA+ community. There are free and low-cost events, so don’t miss out.

Events include their opening event, at Glebe Park, SpringOUT Fair Day. Then later, celebrate The Famous Pink Tennis Bush Dance, which sells out every year.

SpringOUT will host their fourth Pride Sports Festival ”Sport Your Pride’ with ACT Veterans Rugby and many other sporting codes. There will be women’s Rugby and Grid Iron Matches, Soccer, Hockey, Water Polo, Roller Derby and Come and Try Sessions not to be missed!

Explore Exhibitions, Theatre, Dance, and Guided Walks. There will be workshops. Don’t miss Qwire’s Annual Concert. Participate in the Pride Run with Canberra Frontrunners.

Physical – Mobility

  • Caters for people with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps but who would benefit from fixtures to aid balance. (This includes people using walking frames and mobility aids)

  • Uses floors/coverings which are slip resistant, firm and smooth
  • Uses non-slip tiles in the bathroom or slip resistant matting
  • Grab rails in the bathroom
  • Seating in common areas including reception area

Physical – Wheelchair

  • Caters for people who use a wheelchair.

  • Step free outdoor pathways (includes picnic areas, barbecues and shelters)
  • At least one wheelchair accessible parking space with wheelchair accessible signage clearly displayed (International standards are 3200mm wide x 2500 mm high).
