Day Trip to S.S. Yongala Wreck

Day Trip to S.S. Yongala Wreck

Dive the Legendary S.S. Yongala Wreck with Adrenalin Snorkel and Dive

Venture beneath the surface to explore one of the world’s most breathtaking dive sites — the S.S. Yongala. This historic wreck, lying within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, is a bucket-list experience for certified divers seeking marine life encounters like no other.

The Yongala sank during a cyclone in 1911, and now rests 30 metres below the surface, cloaked in mystery and thriving biodiversity. It’s home to giant groupers, marble rays, sea turtles, and swirling schools of barracuda — a true underwater safari.

Departing from Townsville and a picking up from Magnetic Island your full-day adventure includes a scenic journey across the Coral Sea aboard a well-equipped vessel, with experienced dive guides who know the site intimately. You’ll receive a thorough briefing, top-quality gear, and attentive support throughout.

This dive is best suited to advanced or experienced divers due to the depth and sometimes strong currents — but the rewards are unmatched.

Adrenalin Snorkel and Dive is committed to eco-conscious practices, ensuring your adventure helps protect this marine treasure.

Dive in and discover why the Yongala is ranked among the top 10 wreck dives in the world.

Day Trip to the Great Barrier Reef and MOUA

Day Trip to the Great Barrier Reef and MOUA

Explore the Reef and Australia’s Only Underwater Museum – MOUA Day Trip

Join Adrenalin Snorkel and Dive for a full-day adventure to John Brewer Reef — home to spectacular coral gardens and the world-renowned Museum of Underwater Art (MOUA).

Submerged just metres below the surface, MOUA’s Coral Greenhouse is the first underwater building in the Southern Hemisphere, designed by world-class artist Jason deCaires Taylor. It’s a powerful fusion of art, science, and reef storytelling, highlighting marine conservation and the cultural connection to sea Country.

This site offers something for everyone — with depths from 1 to 20 metres, it’s perfect for snorkellers, introductory divers, and certified divers alike. Surrounding the sculpture garden are vibrant reef flats and bommies teeming with life: clownfish, parrotfish, angelfish, Maori wrasse, stingrays, reef sharks, and curious turtles are frequently spotted.

Your trip includes ample time in the water, a comfortable vessel with shaded deck space, expert crew, and the chance to snorkel or dive one of the most visually and culturally unique locations on the Great Barrier Reef.

This is more than a reef trip — it’s a living gallery beneath the sea.

Whale Watching and Wildlife Cruise

Whale Watching and Wildlife Cruise

Experience a 3–4-hour Scenic Whale Watching and Wildlife Tour on board the custom-built vessels, MV Endorphin or MV Adrenalin for small groups and close-ups to these gentle giants.

During the cooler months (July-September), Townsville North Queensland marks a pit stop on the annual migration route of the Humpback Highway.

Around 7000 humpback whales choose to rest and play with their new calves in the crystal blue waters off the coast of Queensland. The Scenic Whale Watching and Wildlife Tour starts towards the Cape Cleveland Light which is an active heritage-listed lighthouse located on the northern tip of Cape Cleveland.

The lighthouse marks the northern point of the Cape, and the entrance to Cleveland Bay and was built in February 1878. All while guests watch enough whales to leave whale-loving hearts a flutter!

With a water level viewing deck, guests can truly feel like they’re up close and personal with these ultimate ocean creatures – all on the whale’s terms of course!

Tail slapping, pectoral fin waves and sometimes – full breaching is all just an added bonus during whale season.

Guests can board the vessel from either Townsville or Magnetic Island!
