  • Savour freshly shucked oysters paired with locally produced wines, beers, and gin for a true taste of the region.
  • Master the art of oyster shucking from a veteran farmer, elevating your culinary skills and appreciation.

Travel to an oyster farm just outside the township of Coffin Bay. Along the journey you’ll experience beautiful Coffin Bay coastal and township views plus learn the history of oyster farming and visit the first ever oyster lease in Coffin Bay. Included in the tour is detailed information on the Native Angasi oyster reef restoration program occurring in Coffin Bay and other parts of Southern Australia.

While you sit back and relax, your host, a veteran oyster farmer, will share the history of oyster farming, including how premium Coffin Bay oysters are produced and what it is about the pristine Coffin Bay waterways that make oysters world-renowned. Plus, they’ll teach you how to shuck like a pro!

You’ll witness pods of dolphins playing in the water alongside the boat as they follow us on their journey (sightings cannot be guaranteed but are highly likely).

Locally produced wines, beers and gin are available to purchase which are the perfect accompaniment to a plate of freshly shucked oysters direct from the source.

For those wanting to take their oyster tour experience to the next level and wade an oyster farm, they highly recommend checking out the Farm & Bay tour.

Experience Coffin Bay Oyster Farm Boat Tours

Since starting oyster farming in 1996, owners Chris and Linda decided they are ready for a new beginning. Instead of farming the oysters, they decided to build an oyster boat suited for tours and start their very own tourism business, known as Experience Coffin Bay.

Take a tour with the farmer himself to take a close-up look at those world-famous Coffin Bay Oysters, take a three-hour Oyster Farm and Bay Tour or a short and sweet ninety-minute Oyster Farm Tour.

This kid-friendly vessel invites all families to join them onboard.

Experience Coffin Bay can’t wait to have you.
