Formerly the residence of opera icon Dame Nellie Melba, Coombe Yarra Valley now stands as a premier destination in the Yarra Valley, blending gourmet delights with cultural richness.
Nestled behind Melba’s Coombe Cottage hedge in Coldstream, the estate boasts seven acres of meticulously landscaped gardens. Here, guests can indulge in world-class dining experiences, sample award-winning Coombe Yarra Valley wines, and delve into Dame Nellie Melba’s world through guided house and garden tours.
Coombe Yarra Valley offers an ideal backdrop for wine tastings, weddings, private events, or leisurely lunches in its a la carte restaurant. Housed within a restored motor house and historic clock tower, the restaurant is helmed by Executive Chef Neil Cunningham.
With a modern, intimate ambiance, the restaurant overlooks a landscaped courtyard and gardens, offering glimpses of the historic Coombe cottage garden avenue and Victoria’s oldest swimming pool.
