A sacred space becomes a living concert hall, where music reawakens the soul.
Dancing winds bring a burst of joy to Pulcinella, Stravinsky’s charming suite from his Italian-inspired ballet. Tchaikovsky’s enchanting Serenade for Strings maintains the heartwarming mood with airy strings that send music floating through St Peter’s Cathedral. The program takes a transportive turn with the pure tones of Caroline Shaw’s and the swallow, while J.S. Bach’s Concerto for Violin and Oboe adds contrast through driving rhythms and energy.
