The Metropolitan Orchestra’s second Met Concert for 2026 promises a night of dazzling colour and elemental rhythm. Led by Chief Conductor Sarah-Grace Williams, this performance showcases the orchestra’s longtime support for talented Australian musicians when TMO present a world premiere work from composer Graeme Brown titled Endangered Species. Rimsky-Korsakov’s sparkling Capriccio Espagnol is inspired by Spanish folk melodies and characterized by its brilliant use of orchestral colour to unleash Spanish fire on the audience, while Ravel’s exquisite Pavane offers a moment of poised beauty in this nostalgic and evocative piece, notable for its beautiful and moving.
