At 9.30am, motoring quickly to Platypus Bay (15 minutes) near K’gari (Fraser Island). Finding pods to approach safely and having time to switch off the engines and encourage the whales to come and see them more closely! They roll, pec-slap, breach, expressing their natural behaviours . Returning at 3.30pm or later if they are surrounded by whales.
Dedicated crew spoil you with three delicious meals. Tea, coffee and water is always available. With outdoor, covered and indoor seating in our airconditioned saloon, and a licensed bar, you will travel in comfort.
Freedom is a 60ft motor catamaran with 4 viewing levels, three toilets, underwater sound and camera. Expert commentary from skippers as they bring you up close to these wonderful creatures.

Tour takes in the sights of the western beaches of K'gari (fromerly known as Fraser Island)
The tour travels along the western side of K’gari from Moon Point to Platypus Bay so many untouches pristine beaches are viewable at some point during the day. Other wildlife such as dolphins, turtles, sea birds and dugong may be encountered.

The departure point for the tour has great cafes, craft shops as well as many other water activities such as Jet ski Tours, Cultural, turtle and sunset tours.

The season showcases different whale groups: playful juveniles arrive in July, followed by larger adults in August, and mothers with calves in September and October.
