The Central Grampians is the most iconic stage of the Grampians Peaks Trail. You’ll journey over rugged and dramatic landscapes to visit some of the most recognised features in the national park. Venus Baths, the Grand Canyon and of course the Pinnacle – and that’s just the first day!
The beating heart of the central Grampians is the small town of Halls Gap. This bustling little hub also happens to be the starting point of the central stage of the GPT and in recognition of that, your journey will not only explore the mountains and trails but the culture and community that reside amongst them. This little valley is full of produce and people who are passionate about hospitality and we’ll get to meet some of the stars and experience what they have to offer
At the end of each day’s walk, you will be transferred back to their boutique private accommodation for a hot shower, a glass of local wine and to sample some local Grampians produce before being treated to outstanding dining experience.

The Grampians Peaks Walking Company is the premier operator of the Grampians Peaks Trail. With over 10 years of industry experience and local knowledge, the Grampians Peaks Walking Company provides unique, high-value walking experiences.
In 2021 they received accreditation under the Quality Tourism Framework in the areas of ‘Sustainable Tourism’, and ‘Camp and Adventure’. These accreditations recognise that through their business practices, they provide experiences that are reliable, consistent, predictable and sustainable.
In both 2021 and 2022, GPWC was honoured by winning gold for ‘Adventure Tourism’ at the Victorian Tourism Awards. They are committed to creating high-quality, engaging, and memorable experiences in a sustainable way.
GPWC offers a range of unique tours and services from independent hiker support to fully guided tent-based ‘Expeditions’, hut-based ‘Northern Huts Walk’ and eco-lodge-based ‘Luxe’ walks.
Their ‘Expeditions’ and “Northern Huts Walk’ lead you on three to five day stages of the GPT staying each night in supported hiker camps, fully guided and catered with fresh healthy local catering. Nothing else compares.
Their ‘Luxe’ programs walk the same adventurous trails, but the end of each day takes you back to your private boutique accommodation for hot showers, crisp linen and unparalleled hospitality.
