Rumi on Louth Experiences
Once an untamed sheep farm established in 1802, Louth Island is located just 10 minutes off the coast from Port Lincoln. With its rich history and rugged natural beauty, the island has become a sanctuary where restoration and luxury coexist.
Rumi was created with a clear mission: to restore and revegetate this ancient land while sharing its extraordinary environment and stories with guests. The island’s delicate ecosystems are being carefully revived, allowing visitors to experience a vibrant, thriving wilderness.
The Rumi Explore package offers day visitors a chance to fully immerse themselves in the island’s unique offerings. Guests can embark on guided buggy tours across the restored landscapes, taking in breathtaking views and learning about the island’s ecology. For a more tranquil experience
catamaran cruises provide peaceful exploration of the surrounding waters.
Dining is a highlight at the two chef-hatted Samphire Restaurant, where guests can select from a refined 4-course menu or upgrade to an exclusive 6-course degustation. Both menus showcase the freshest seasonal island ingredients, artfully prepared to engage the senses and celebrate the region’s flavors.
Louth Island enjoys a Mediterranean style climate, with hot summers and mild winters, making it an appealing destination year-round. Each season reveals a different side of the island’s captivating landscape, inviting discovery and indulgence at every visit.
