Heron Cove, Bruny Island offers a large flat campsite with waterfront camping on a sheltered cove behind Umbrella Point off the D’Entrecasteaux Channel.
The property has direct water access and free-to-use sit-on kayaks which you can use to explore Apollo and the Snake Bay coastline. Wildlife is in abundance, with plenty of eucalypt woodland that provides excellent bird-watching opportunities. Located just 15 minutes from the ferry it offers a gateway to both North and South Bruny attractions including, House of Whisky, Dennes Point, and Quarantine Station. Bruny Island Oysters, the Cheese / Beer Factory, Adventure Bay, and the South Bruny National Park.
An idyllic natural base camp to just relax or explore Bruny Island. Please note that Heron Cove has open water on the block and easy access to the cove, so no toddlers on site. Toilet/disposal facilities are NOT provided so visitors will need to be fully self-contained.
