Willow Court Asylum History Tour
Join us on our all-ages history tour of Australia’s oldest continually run mental institution, still on its original site in the picturesque Derwent Valley, just a short 35minute drive from Hobart.
We explore the atmospheric landmarks of the Willow Court precinct, including entry to some of the sites intriguing buildings which still remain today.
The tour involves walking and operates in most weather conditions. Some accessibility restrictions may apply due to stairs and uneven surfaces. Dress warmly and wear flat, enclosed shoes.
Our guides will share over 190 years of combined history as we explore this fascinating Tasmanian site.
Military Gaol Investigation Tour

Old buildings have dark places and many have dark secrets. Old Military Gaols even more so….
Explore the dark side inside the country’s only 19th-century military prison at Hobart’s Anglesea Military site located in Australia’s oldest military barracks still in use and is one of Australia’s most significant historical military precincts.
The Gaol was established to accommodate wayward soldiers and was built in 1847. This imposing building contains 14 individual cells and the gaolers’ quarters.
Access to this venue in the darkest hours is not otherwise permitted, so join us on our two-hour paranormal investigation to find out what secrets this prison has to tell. This is not a Ghost Tour but a unique paranormal experience.
Gaiety Theatre Investigation Tour

Hidden in the valley of rugged hills of the wild west of Tasmania, in a town rich in mining history with grand relics of its early days, this theatre was once the largest concert theatres in Australia and is now over 124 years old.

Head underground into the eerie basement below historic Hobart Town Hall on a unique winter-only ghost tour. Designed by Henry Hunter the 1864 basement may give you winter chills of a different kind as you listen to stories from its 150 years of history surrounded by the rough sandstone walls.
