Situated just a few minutes’ drive from the centre of Daylesford, Jubilee Lake is a fabulous place to visit for the whole family. There’s a range of activities and amenities on offer, including barbeque facilities, walking trails, canoe and paddle boat hire, a playground, caravan park, and cafe/kiosk. The lake is regularly stocked with rainbow trout, so you may even want to toss in a line!

Originally known as Hepburn Goldfields Reservoir, Jubilee Lake was built to supply water to the local gold mines during the 1860s gold rush. Walk the lake circuit and stop at the Jubilee mineral spring to try some of the area’s famous natural mineral water. If you want to do a longer hike, you can link up with the Goldfields Trail and walk into Daylesford. Visit in autumn to admire the changing colours of the avenue of mature elm trees that leads to the mineral spring.
